This group is for anyone trying to get pregnant and to ask/give advice. about taking Xanax while trying to conceive, and during pregnancy?.
When discussing fertility there is NO SUCH THING AS TMI!
Still got a baby in the end. So when I was TTC, I was taking the same dose regularly. My doctor told me to get off of it. I think you're okay!. It was hard, and I ended up taking it a few times.
I totally agree I need to talk with my doc. I didn't think about bringing it up at my preconception appt bc I never take it - as in I have not taken it in at least a year. This is an old script I have from two years ago.
Am I screwed? ( self.TryingForABaby ).
So about 2 days ago I took a half pill of Xanax for my anxiety attacks. I took the other I would be more concerned about taking it while pregnant. Click on text to.
I did a quick search, and didn't come up with much. Maybe someone who speaks better medical jargon can get on pubmed and do a better job translating. That said, there was one study I'm not sure I understood fully, but might just show that Xanax (alprazolam) increases LH.
I have a prescription for xanax that I take when I fly. (Nervous flyer) Have you taken the drug while trying to conceive and get a bfp? Reply.
Posted 11/28/2015 I have a prescription for the same reason and I have done some online research and I haven't found any solid proof that it does affect it. Hope this helps! *hugs* Thank you Mrstg. (Nervous flyer) The next time I fly it will be during my fertile window, and flying back home which will be into the third week of my cycle.

Well thanks for your input, i'll just keep trying to cut down. thanks, ya its been so long, 8 years, so its so hard to get off of it. I figure if i quit cold turkey i would misscary, so maybe lowering it to. I am only worried about how it affects while i'm trying to concieve because i'm still at 1 mg 4 times a day. Xanax is so addicting, i wouldnt recccomend it to anyone for any problems, its terrible and it makes you worry your whole pregnancy, but i was diagnosed with severe agoraphobia and anxiety, so when i try to go off i cant even funtion.

You may need to investigate other ways of controlling the panic attacks and anxiety while you are pregnant. There are numerous other meds such as many of the antidepressants that also treat anxiety that are safer than the benzodiazepines. Benzodiazepines such as xanax are not recommended during pregnancy unless the risks of not taking outweigh the risks to the baby. Best wishes, Laurie. Your doctor would be the best to advise you on this.
